NBC5 Forecast: Wild Wind Today and a Big Warm-Up

A very strong south wind today has prompted a Wind Advisory to be issued. Gusts are expected to be over 30 MPH. The strong wind will lead to a high grass-fire danger as well. Afternoon highs will climb into the upper 80s for DFW and low to mid 90s out west. (The record high for DFW today is 91). Slightly cooler air will arrive with a cold front tomorrow. This front could kick-off a couple of isolated thunderstorms to the east of Dallas. Otherwise, it looks mainly dry through Friday.Thunderstorms will be possible this weekend.
