NBC5 Forecast: Tornado Watch Friday Afternoon and Evening

Very windy and warm weather, and an approaching dry line, has resulted in a Tornado Watch being issued for much of North Texas. The watch runs through 10 pm, but the greatest threat for DFW will be ending around 7 pm. After that the main threat will be in east Texas.Some of these storms will likely produce large, damaging hail and the potential for damaging wind gusts. A few tornadoes cannot be ruled out, especially for areas east of Dallas during the evening hours.A cold front will sweep through overnight, and usher in much cooler air for the weekend.
