NBC5 Forecast: Stormy Start to Saturday

Showers and thunderstorms will become more widespread through the morning hours. Heavy downpours are likely and some quarter size hail is possible. The highest risk of severe storms will be in far East Texas into Louisiana. Expect strong north winds Saturday afternoon into Sunday morning. A WIND ADVISORY will be in effect from 4 p.m. Saturday until 7 a.m. Sunday. Strong winds of 25-35 mph with gusts to 50 mph will be possible. Be sure to secure all loose items.The storms will shift east of DFW by early afternoon, but scattered showers will remain possible into the evening.
