NBC5 Forecast: Still Cloudy and Cold

Wednesday was rain-free, but still cloudy and cold with temperatures staying in the 30s all day. Thursday will start out cloudy and cold, but we could see a few breaks in the clouds by afternoon. There's a slight warm-up in store for Friday into Saturday with highs around 50.Then, a strong arctic front will push through the region Saturday night into Sunday with much colder air and gusty north winds. Wind chills will be in the teens for any New Year's Eve activities Sunday night with a low chance for some wintry precipitation. Any freezing drizzle will be very light. No major accumulations are expected. But even a thin glaze of ice could cause major headaches for travellers on the roads Sunday evening.
