NBC5 Forecast: Severe Storms Wednesday Evening

Wednesday is a Weather Alert Day with the potential for severe weather this evening. A strong south wind has kept low-level moisture flowing into North Texas from the Gulf of Mexico during the day. That moisture will feed strong to severe thunderstorms through the evening hours. Unfortunately, there will be a risk for severe weather with this event. There is the possibility of very large hail, strong straight-line winds, and perhaps even a few tornadoes. Not everyone will experience severe weather, but please plan, prepare, and be weather aware.Cooler weather will move in Thursday. There's a slight chance for a stray shower leftover in the morning. Otherwise, as we move toward Easter, it finally looks like a rain-free weekend!
