NBC5 Forecast: It's FINALLY Time to Warm Things Up!

From NBC5 meteorologist Brian James - It's FINALLY time to start warm things up around here! Starting with tonight, temperatures will stay well above freezing as low-level clouds develop and move into North Texas from the south. Some areas of drizzle may also be around through Thursday morning. The rest of the day will have a mix of clouds and sunshine. Temperatures will climb into the upper 60s to lower 70s by Thursday afternoon. There will also be a breeze blow from the south between 15 and 20 mph for most of the day.A weak cold front will briefly drop into North Texas by Friday morning. It won't stick around long and it won't have much of an impact on temperatures. Highs will still be close to 70° in the afternoon.Friday night through Saturday morning, we will be watching for the development of thunderstorms in the region. Storm chances will be highest around DFW through the first half of the day Saturday. Some storms could be strong to marginally severe, but the overall severe threat is low. We'll clear back out by Saturday afternoon with highs in the 70s.We drop back into the 60s for the end of the weekend (and as Daylight Saving Time kicks back in ... so set those clocks ahead one hour before going to be Saturday night).
