A Heat Advisory remains in effect through 7 pm Thursday. And there is a very good chance that the advisory will be extended into the weekend.The average high this time of year is 97 degrees, but we will be at 100 or above for most of the next week. And with relatively high humidity, that will lead to heat index values over 105 degrees each afternoon.If you're going to be outside during the peak heating hours (10 AM to 6 PM), please make sure you're taking breaks and drinking lots of water.
