It has been hot and extremely muggy with a heat index approaching 110° across DFW Thursday afternoon. Be sure to take it easy and stay hydrated. A HEAT ADVISORY is in effect for portions of North Texas through 8 p.m. tonight. That may be extended through Friday as well.The weekend will be very warm and humid, but mostly rain-free.
