NBC5 Forecast: First Day of Summer

Hot and humid weather continued Friday just in time for the first official day of summer. The heat index will peak around 105°, so a HEAT ADVISORY remains in effect for all of North Texas through 7 p.m. this evening. But that is less than the 110° we experienced on Thursday, because gusty winds mixed the atmosphere, bringing some slightly drier air down from above.The weekend will be warm and humid. While a few spotty thunderstorms will be possible over the weekend, the best chance for storms will be Sunday night into Monday morning.TONIGHT: Windy this evening, with increasing clouds after midnight.
