FLASH FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FOR A LARGE PART OF NORTH TEXAS THROUGH THIS EVENINGPeriods of heavy rain can be expected today, especially this morning. The rain will slowly shift to the east this afternoon. No severe weather is expected, but there could be some areas of high water. Combined rain totals (today and yesterday) will end up around 2-4" before all is said and done.Dry and cooler weather will move in by Thursday, just in time for the Texas Rangers opening day of baseball. (There is a slight chance for a brief shower to the north, but it's not likely to spoil the fun at the ballpark).
