NBC5 Forecast: Cold on Monday, Rain Coming on Tuesday

From NBC5 meteorologist Brian James - I hope you enjoyed temperatures in the 50s today because the next cold front arrives tonight. This front will knock us back down into the middle to upper 40s for Presidents Day. Monday will start with a mostly sunny sky, but clouds will thicken as the afternoon wears on. An approaching upper-level storm system will begin generating showers early Tuesday morning. Widespread rain is expected through most of the day Tuesday. It will be cold as well with temperatures only topping out in the lower 40s.We will have additional chances at showers and storms starting Thursday ... but more so for Friday and Saturday. Highs will be climbing to around 60° by late in the week and stay there into the early part of the following week. TONIGHT: Mostly clear and cold. Low: 32. Wind: NE 10-15 mph.
