North Texas is experiencing plenty of sunshine, warmth, and light winds. The light wind won't mix the pollutants very well, so ozone levels will be higher than normal, which is the reason for the Air Quality Alert. Early Friday morning there will be a chance for scattered showers and possibly a thunderstorm. The higher chance will be west of DFW. This rain chance is contingent upon a complex of storms developing up toward the panhandle late tonight.
