The record heat of 94 degrees on Thursday came to an abrupt end when a cold front arrived in DFW overnight. Morning clouds, and a cool northwest breeze kept temperatures in the upper 60s and low 70s Friday afternoon. But the front will reverse direction as a warm front, and push temperatures back into the 80s Saturday and Sunday.
