NBC5 Forecast: A Couple Stormy, Soggy Days Ahead

FLASH FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FOR A LARGE PART OF NORTH TEXAS TUESDAY MORNING THROUGH WEDNESDAY EVENINGFrom NBC5 meteorologist Brian James - Areas of storms have developed west and northwest of DFW, but they will not get any closer to us tonight. We will generally see the sky becoming cloudy through the overnight hours. Showers and storms will begin to develop and move into North Texas as we get closer to sunrise on Tuesday. Tuesday and Wednesday are shaping up to be a couple of soggy, stormy days for most locations. Locally heavy rain will be possible with widespread totals of 1 to 3 inches of rain expected. Isolated totals closer to 4 inches will be possible. The rain and storms will likely have a high impact on the Tuesday evening commute and Wednesday morning commute, so please plan accordingly.Dry and cooler weather will move in by Thursday, just in time for the Texas Rangers opening day of baseball.
