NBC5 Forecast: A Cold Weekend With Another Blast of Wintry Weather Possible Early Next Week

From NBC5 meteorologist Brian James - This weekend will be uneventful ... just cold! Morning temperatures both Saturday and Sunday will be down in the 20s. Saturday afternoon's highs will be in the 40s and low 50s return on Sunday with a decent amount of sunshine both days. The next weather-maker for North Texas arrives Monday afternoon in the form of a strong cold front. There will be more moisture around than the previous storm system ... which means areas of rain will likely develop along and right behind the cold front. But, as the temperature falls, I expect the rain to change over to sleet and snow. There are still some details that need to be figured out ... but at this point, there appears to be a chance for some light snow accumulation Monday night into early Tuesday. This could have an impact on the morning commute and return to school on Tuesday. Make sure you stay with NBC5 for updates as we get more details on this next blast of wintry weather. After a cold Tuesday, the rest of next week will have gradually warming temperatures. We may even climb above normal by next weekend!Latest Video Forecast  Continue reading...
