NBC 5 Forecast: Wednesday Morning Storms, Then Clearing

WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT MIDNIGHT TO 7AM TONIGHTWe will be watching a line of strong to severe thunderstorms march across West Texas tonight with its sights set on DFW for Wednesday morning. This line of storms is expected to move across all of North Texas. It will start around 2 AM out to the west, move through DFW between 4AM and 8 AM, then move out of the eastern parts of North Texas by noon. These storms will be capable of wind gusts in excess of 65 mph, hail up to the size of quarters, and could produce more than an inch of rain. The overall tornado threat is low but not zero, so please be WEATHER AWARE.The line of storms will have a substantial impact on the morning commute. Please allow roughly double your normal travel time. If you're flying out from Love Field or DFW Airport, please check with your carrier for potential delays.Once we get to Wednesday afternoon, the rest of the week and weekend look pretty good.
