NBC 5 Forecast: Thunderstorms and Heat Relief Today

Relief from the heat is moving into North Texas! Scattered showers and thunderstorms will accompany a cold front across North Texas today. The combination of clouds, rain chances, and a light north wind will keep today's high much lower than what we had on Monday. The highest chance of rain will be this morning, although another opportunity presents itself for Wednesday.Although we will gradually warm up the rest of the week, a second cold front arrives Friday night to bring us a reinforcing shot of slightly cooler air just in time for the Labor Day weekend.Latest Forecast TODAY: Partly to mostly cloudy with a 80 percent chance for scattered showers and storms.
