NBC 5 Forecast: Summer Heat Continues

Another day of hot temperatures and high humidity is expected across North Texas. The heat index will range from 105 to 108 degrees during the hottest part of the day. A heat advisory remains in effect for much of the region until 7 p.m. this evening. Stay hydrated and take frequent breaks if you must be out in the heat for an extended period. Make sure you provide fresh water for your pets and keep them cool. With little change expected in the position of the jet stream, this pattern will likely last into the weekend.Cooler weather and increasing rain chances may bring relief from the heat early next week thanks to an approaching cold front.Latest Forecast TODAY: Mostly sunny and hot.
