NBC 5 Forecast: Storms Pushing Through Early

A line of storms are moving east through the DFW area this morning. Hail and gusty winds will be the main threats with these. The storms will all push through east Texas by daybreak behind a cold front. Make sure to grab your coat before you head out the door. Temperatures will drop 20-30 degrees behind the front dropping to the upper 50s at sunrise, into the upper 40s by late afternoon, and into the mid 30's by midnight. The brisk north wind will make it feel even colder, even as the skies clear.By Friday morning, we will be back below freezing with many areas down in the middle to upper 20s. Clouds will increase again on Friday, and there is a potential for a few very light sleet showers to develop by Friday afternoon. TODAY: Windy with gradually clearing skies, but falling temperatures during the day. Temperature falling to 50 by noon and into the upper 40s by late afternoon. Wind: N 15-20 mph.
