NBC 5 Forecast: Quieter Weather Returns Today

The last of the rain is exiting East Texas this morning. Slightly cooler and drier air will return to the region today. Gradual clearing will allow temperatures to warm into the mid 80s this afternoon. The dry break will be short lived though. Daily chances for isolated to widely scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible Friday through next Thursday. No severe weather is anticipated. Temperatures will steadily rise through the weekend. Highs will be in the upper 80s Friday and Saturday but will reach the 90s by Sunday. TODAY: Morning clouds giving way to afternoon sunshine.
