NBC 5 Forecast: More Sun With Scattered Showers and Storms Possible

There will be another chance for a few storms on this afternoon, but it appears the best chance will be from DFW to the south as an upper-level storm system moves west and southwest into Central and South Texas. It will come back to the north on Monday and continue to give us the chance for scattered showers and storms before leaving us Monday night. Gusty winds and lightning will be the main threat with any storms. Tuesday will be dry, but another weak storm system will slowly move through North Texas on Wednesday and Thursday. That will keep the chance for a few showers and storms around through the 4th of July. After that, we will likely move into a pattern more typical of July.Latest Forecast TODAY: Partly cloudy and warm with a 20 percent chance of storms, mainly south of DFW. High: 88. Wind: SE 5-10 mph.
