NBC 5 Forecast: Last Cool Day of the Week

After a bright end to the day yesterday, low clouds are spreading north this morning and will stick around all day today. The clouds will also help to keep temperatures down in the 50s again. Thickening clouds many bring some patchy light drizzle later this evening. A nice surge of warmer air will begin lifting north tonight and will continue through the weekend. There may be some light showers or areas of drizzle around on Friday with mostly cloudy skies. Despite the clouds, temperatures will make it into the 60s by the afternoon. East of DFW, a few more showers and storms may develop late Friday afternoon and evening.Gray skies will linger through the first part of the weekend with even warmer temperatures on the way! Highs will climb nicely into the middle 60s on Saturday and lower 70s on Sunday! The warmth will hold for a couple of days early next week as well before the next strong cold front drops us back down by Wednesday. TODAY: Cool, cloudy and seasonably cool. High: 53.
