Nationwide ICE Raids Planned for Sunday, New York Times Reports

A nationwide effort to arrest and rapidly deport thousands of immigrants living in the country illegally is back on for Sunday, a few weeks after President Trump announced a postponement of the initial operation.Raids backed by Immigration and Customs Enforcement will target multiple cities starting Sunday, the New York Times reported. The raids were first scheduled for June 23 but were postponed, Trump said, to give Congress more time to hammer out a border security plan.The result was a $4.6 billion aid package for the border.The initial raids targeted some 2,000 people ICE says are living illegally in Houston, Baltimore, Chicago, Atlanta, Denver, Miami, New Orleans, New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco.  Continue reading...
