Family-owned Messina Hof, Texas' largest wine producer, is breaking ground later in 2019 on what will become the largest winery in the Houston area – and it will be located inside of a planned living community.The winery will be built in the 1,300 acre mater-planned community of Harvest Green in Richmond, Texas just outside of Houston, according to The Houston Chronicle. The living community, where homes run at $290,000 for a 3 bedroom, already features a working farm, an amphitheater, a lake and event space.The final winery will feature a sustainable design and include a 130-seat restaurant, 2,600 square foot patio as well as tasting rooms which can be booked for private events.
