Murder Suspect Faces Charges in a 2nd Deadly Dallas Robbery Just Like the 1st

A Dallas man already jailed on a capital murder warrant has been charged in another deadly robbery that closely resembles the first.Earl Wayne Humphries, 55, faces two counts of capital murder, the latest involving the September shooting death of Alejandro Morales-Martinez.Police say Humphries tried to rob the 45-year-old at gunpoint on Sept. 20 as he sat in his minivan outside a home he was helping to renovate in the 4700 block of Colonial Avenue.Morales-Martinez refused to hand over his wallet, so Humphries shot him in the neck after a struggle, according to an arrest warrant affidavit. Police say he then dragged the dying man out of the van and robbed him before running away. Humphries told a witness that he stole about $1,500 from Morales-Martinez, according to the warrant.Humphries is also charged in the July slaying of Luis Arturo Segovia, who was found dead five miles from his burned car.  Continue reading...
