Murder Suspect Arrested in Deadly Double Shooting at Red Bird Motel

A murder suspect has been arrested in Dallas and another wanted man fled to Kansas after a fight over money ended in a double shooting at a Red Bird motel. Spencer Jones Jr., 21, was arrested in the slaying of 28-year-old Christopher James and booked into the Dallas County jail early Tuesday. A second man, 20-year-old Savion Valdez Davila, is believed to be "armed and dangerous" in Kansas City, the Kansas City Star reports.Davila and Jones are suspects in the shooting of two men around 2:30 a.m. March 22 at the Delux Inn in the 2900 block of Camp Wisdom Road.James was killed and a second man was wounded. The survivor told police that Davila confronted him at the motel and accused the man of owing him money.
