Much on the Line in Saturday's Runoff Races for Dallas City Council, DISD Board

Dallas' local election season will officially come to a close Saturday. A Dallas ISD trustee position and three City Council seats are up for still up for grabs in the runoff races, which could help determine significant issues, such as teacher evaluations, gentrification and the city's priorities. The polls close at 7 p.m.District 6District 6, which includes West Dallas and Northwest Dallas, has drawn the most attention of the council races. Mayor Pro Tem Monica Alonzo is seeking a fourth term against challenger Omar Narvaez, a board trustee of Dallas County Schools.The race has been marred by an ongoing investigation into mail-in voter fraud allegations, although it's still unclear who was responsible.On the issues, the two candidates have squared off on affordable housing and gentrification.
