Motorcyclist Dies After Hitting Cow on the Highway in Grayson County

A motorcyclist died Saturday after his motorcycle struck a cow in Grayson County, officials say. Dallas Briggs, 44, was riding the motorcycle about 11:15 p.m. Friday on U.S. Highway 377, outside of Whitesboro, when he hit the animal in the road, Texas Department of Public Safety Lt. Lonny Haschel said. Briggs of Honey Grove was ejected from the 2007 Harley Davidson and taken to Medical City Denton, where he died early Saturday, he said.
