More than 100 criminal cases in Tarrant County are on hold during an investigation into a Fort Worth police forensic scientist over allegations that she falsified a DNA test.The Fort Worth Star-Telegram first reported that the employee, Amanda Schaffner, was placed on leave as the department investigates allegations that she didn't do a quality control test and attempted to cover it up.Fort Worth police spokesman Jimmy Pollozani said the internal affairs unit was investigating a complaint about an employee of the department's crime lab."Since the investigation is active and ongoing, we are unable to release any details at this time," he wrote in an email.
