Molly Ringwald Says Southwest Airlines Saved Her Father's Life by Making Emergency Landing

Actress Molly Ringwald thanked Southwest Airlines on Thursday for helping save her father's life after he had a medical emergency on an Austin-bound flight. Ringwald said in a tweet that "We all love to publicly vent against airlines but today I would like to thank Southwest Airlines and the doctor who happened to be onboard."She said the plane made an emergency landing and "because of their speed and professionalism, my father's life was saved."In a statement to Fox News, the airline said the flight was safely diverted to Albuquerque, N.M., and was met by emergency medical crews who transported the patient to a hospital. "While we are not able to share details about the emergency, we are proud of our Flight Attendants and Pilots who do outstanding things every day to ensure Safety is at the forefront of everything they do," the statement read.   Continue reading...
