Missing Man Found Dead in Neighbor's Swimming Pool Near Lake Arlington

An Arlington man who went missing days ago was found dead Thursday in a backyard swimming pool in Arlington.Merlin Butler, 67, was last seen about 7 a.m. Monday leaving his home in the 1300 block of Quail Lane, police said in a missing-person bulletin issued Tuesday.Butler was found about 5 p.m. Thursday just a few blocks away in the 3500 block of Quail Lane, in a neighborhood near Lake Arlington. Police suspect he drowned in a neighbor's swimming pool.Investigators say Butler suffered from health problems that may have caused him to become confused and disoriented.Police are investigating what led to the drowning, but no foul play is suspected.  Continue reading...
