Missing Addison College Student’s Body Found in Henderson County Lake

Officials searching for an Addison college student who went missing three weeks ago found her body and car submerged in a Henderson County lake.Brenda Lizbeth Montanez Perez, 25, was last seen Jan. 27. She left a Plano barbecue early that morning and drove to her boyfriend's home in Log Cabin, west of Athens. The boyfriend, whom she's known for about six months, did not let her in and was the last person to see her, Montanez's sister Clara Montanez said.Addison referred the case to Log Cabin officials, who found Montanez's car in Cedar Creek Lake on Friday, with her body in it, Log Cabin police spokesman Todd Tucker said.Montanez's remains have been sent to the local medical examiner for an autopsy.She was in her final year of college and hoped to work as a detective, Clara Montanez said.   Continue reading...
