Mexico Still Won't Pay for Border Wall, Despite Trump's Threats Over NAFTA

WASHINGTON -- Last week, President Trump told a raucous crowd of supporters in Phoenix that he was willing to shut down the federal government next month if Congress doesn't approve funding for a border wall he'd long promised Mexico would pay for.He also promised that Mexico would end up repaying the U.S. taxpayer, a threat -- or vow -- that he reiterated Sunday on Twitter and on Monday at an East Room news conference.At each juncture, Mexican officials reiterated what they have long maintained. Mexico will not pay for a border wall.
