Methodist Health CEO Steps Aside, Interim Chief Takes Over Next Week

Stephen Mansfield, the top executive at Dallas-based Methodist Health System for more than a decade, is moving up his expected retirement by more than seven months.Mansfield, 66, will become CEO emeritus on Tuesday. He had previously told the system's directors he'd step aside at the end of this year.James Scoggin Jr. will come out of retirement to serve as Methodist's interim CEO. Scoggin, who had a lengthy career with Methodist Healthcare System in San Antonio, retired in 2013 as president of Nashville-based HCA Healthcare's North Texas Division.Pam Stoyanoff, Methodist's executive vice president and chief operating officer, will become president and COO. She joined Methodist in 2008 from the five-hospital St. Vincent Health System in Little Rock, Arkansas, where she was senior vice president and chief financial officer.  Continue reading...
