Mesquite Pastors Beat Child With Extension Cord in Church, Police Say

Three pastors at a Mesquite church were arrested Friday after police said they restrained a child and beat them with an extension cord.The pastors — 64-year-old Deborah Graham, 24-year-old David Graham, and 46-year-old Tonya Hill — were taken into custody at their home in Allen, according to Mesquite police.Officers were initially called on March 20 and notified about a child that was bound and assaulted with an extension cord at The Church - "A Place of Worship for All Nations," located in the 4100 block of West Interstate 30 in Mesquite.The assault happened three weeks before police were notified, and was an attempt by the pastors to make the child confess to a suspected crime, police said.Deborah Graham, David Graham, and Tonya Hill are each charged with unlawful restraint and assault causing bodily injury.Officials have identified addresses in Rockwall and Collin counties that are associated with the church, but police aren't aware of other victims.Police are asking parents to come forward if their child has sustained injuries at the church.Anyone with information can call Mesquite police at 972-285-6336.  Continue reading...
