McKinney to Settle Lawsuit Against Collin County, Landowner Over Development Just Outside City Limits

There are thousands of acres ripe for development just outside McKinney's city limits, but the city and Collin County disagree on who has the authority to regulate what rises up there. While that question remains unanswered, a long-running legal dispute involving the city, county and the landowner behind a roughly 44-acre RV park is nearing an end. McKinney's City Council is scheduled to vote Tuesday night on the final pieces for settlement agreements between the county and property owner Arch Resorts LLC, which has been entangled in the dispute since it sued the city in 2015 over building an RV park in the northwest sector.   Continue reading...
