Officials with McKinney ISD have apologized to the teenage girl who was slammed to the ground by a McKinney police officer during a 2015 pool party after a video of the incident was played during a class Friday at the girl's school. A McKinney High School criminal justice teacher was aware senior Dajerria Becton attended the school when she used the video as a case study, district officials said. Former Cpl. Eric Casebolt, was captured on video pinning then-15-year-old Dajerria to the ground. The footage garnered national attention and put McKinney in the spotlight, escalating a debate about police treatment of minorities. Casebolt is white.
