McKinney Fire Department Employee Suspended After Arrest on Child Sex Abuse Charge

A McKinney Fire Department employee has been suspended without pay after his arrest on a child sex abuse charge, the city said Monday.Chad Eric Watson, 38, was arrested Sunday and booked into the Collin County Jail on a charge of continuous sex abuse of a child under 14.His bail is set at $250,000, jail records show. No attorney was listed for Watson on Monday evening.The city of McKinney said in a statement that the city was aware of the charge and was working with investigators.A roster of McKinney city employees shows Watson was hired in January 2006 and worked full-time as a fire department driver/operator.
