McKinney Council to Consider Allowing Alcohol Sales for Events in Big City Parks

The McKinney City Council will vote Tuesday night on an ordinance to allow alcohol sales in some city parks, opening the door for more large events, festivals and weddings on city property.Currently, some events in public spaces — namely the annual McKinney Oktoberfest downtown — allow for alcohol sales, but that does not extend to the city's parks."It gives us more options for holding a number of events in our parks," said Mike Kowski, the city's director of parks and recreation.  Continue reading...
