McKinney Boy’s Car Seat Invention Alerts Police When Cars Get Too Hot

Texans are about a week into summer, but 7 children have died of hot car deaths this year statewide.If a 11-year-old McKinney boy gets his way, his invention may help prevent future deaths when his product becomes a reality.Bishop Curry V's device will alert parents and authorities when it senses there's a dangerous temperatures inside the stopped car with a child in the car seat. "It would be a dream to have lots of inventions that would save many lives," Bishop said to NBC5 (Channel 5).He was determined to make an invention when a 6-month-old baby girl that lived in his neighborhood died last June after she was left in a van on a 91 degree day.
