Man Tried to Grab 2 Women at Far North Dallas Apartments, Police Say

Residents are being asked to be on the lookout for a man who tried to grab two women Friday at a Far North Dallas apartment complex, police said. A woman told police she was walking her dog about 8:45 p.m. at the Landera Apartments in the 3900 block of Accent Drive, near East Trinity Mills and Midway roads when a man attempted to grab her.About 15 minutes later, the man reportedly followed a second woman to her apartment and knocked on the door after she went in. When the woman opened the door, the man forced his way inside and grabbed her, police said. Another person inside the apartment heard the commotion and pushed the intruder out the door, and he fled in an unknown direction. He is described as a 5-9 black man, 25 to 35 years old. He weighs about 200 to 250 pounds. He was wearing a light blue collared shirt with short sleeves, similar to a mechanic's shirt, and a skullcap with what may have been a camouflage design. Police have asked citizens to be alert for anyone in the area who match the man's description, and to call 911 to report them. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Dallas police at 214-671-3593. Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest and indictment.
