Man Shot in Leg During Attempted Robbery in East Oak Cliff

Dallas police are investigating a shooting that left a man wounded in the leg during an attempted robbery in east Oak Cliff.The shooting occurred around 3:15 a.m. at the intersection of Interstate 45 and Overton Road, police said. The victim told police he was standing outside a store when an unknown suspect approached and tried to rob him.A fight broke out, during which the suspect shot the victim in the leg, police said.The suspect then fled in an unknown direction, taking some items that belonged to the victim with him, police said.The victim was taken to an area hospital in stable condition.  Continue reading...
