Man Shot in Chest in Old East Dallas, Police Say

Police are investigating after a man was shot in the chest in Old East Dallas Sunday morning. Dallas officers were first called to 3320 Samuell Boulevard about a shooting, but the people involved had already left by the time officers arrived, police said.Two victims fled the scene of the shooting and arrived in the 9700 block of Whitehurst Drive in Lake Highlands, about 10 miles away, police said. They called 911 just before 9:30 a.m.One had a gunshot wound to his chest and was taken to Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital for treatment.
