Man Killed When Six Cars Crash on I-20 in Arlington

A 37-year-old man was fatally Saturday night in a series of interrelated crashes on Interstate 20 in Arlington.Investigators believe a pickup and a passenger car collided in the 4300 block of the highway, near Kelly Elliott Road, around 10 p.m. The car's driver, a 37-year-old man who has not yet been publicly identified, was trying to push it into the shoulder from behind when he was struck by a third vehicle.Three other vehicle also crashed at the scene, likely because they swerved to avoid the first crash, police said.I-20 was closed for about five hours as officials cleared the scene.
