Man Found Dead in Vehicle Likely Connected to Cross-town Shootout in Old East Dallas, Police Say

Fifteen minutes after a shootout Wednesday evening in Old East Dallas, a man was found dead in a vehicle in South Dallas, police said. Multiple vehicles and multiple people were reportedly shooting at each other about 5 p.m. in the 4100 block of Ross Avenue near North Haskell Avenue, police said. About 15 minutes later, officers were dispatched to the 3900 block of Diamond Avenue in South Dallas where they found a man dead in a vehicle.The similarity of the vehicle and suspect description led police to believe that the man's death was connected to the shooting on Ross Avenue, about 4 1/2 miles away.Additional information was not available Wednesday night.   Continue reading...
