Man Dies After Having Seizure in Back of Dallas County Deputy's Squad Car

A man died after being stopped by the Dallas County Sheriff's Department over the weekend, but authorities said foul play isn't suspected.Jesus Alberto Roque apparently suffered a seizure in the back of a squad car, the sheriff's office said in a statement Wednesday.A deputy pulled over Roque on West Ledbetter Drive near U.S. Highway 67 just before 10 a.m. Saturday for a traffic violation. Roque didn't have a valid driver's license or proof of insurance, the department said in its release.Roque was "exhibiting nervous behavior" and was put in the deputy's car while a tow truck was called to tow his vehicle, the Sheriff's Department said.As the deputy drove to a gas station, Roque suffered an apparent seizure, authorities said. Paramedics were called and Roque was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.The Sheriff's Department said foul play was not suspected and that the medical examiner had yet to determine Roque's cause of death.
