Man Charged With Murder 2 Years After Daytime Slaying in Downtown Dallas

A Dallas man faces a murder charge in connection with the fatal 2017 shooting of a Grand Prairie man in broad daylight in downtown Dallas.Kamron Davon Johnson, 28, was indicted on one count of murder last month, court records show. He was booked into the Dallas County jail Friday afternoon, according to jail records.The shooting took place in a parking lot in the 1100 block of McKinney Avenue, near the Dallas World Aquarium, on May 6, 2017.Witnesses reported hearing gunshots around 1:15 p.m. that Saturday and found a man slumped over in the driver's seat of a tan BMW.The victim was rushed to Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas, where he later died from a gunshot wound to the head. He was identified as 24-year-old Nicademeus Saul Aleman of Grand Prairie.Police said at the time that the shooting may have been drug-related.
