Man Accused of Strangling Woman Near TCU Was Suspect in 2 Sexual Assaults Where Victim Was Choked

The 23-year-old man accused of strangling a 22-year-old woman at a home near Texas Christian University in Fort Worth had previously been accused of two sexual assaults where the victim was choked, police say.Reginald Kimbro was arrested Thursday, more than two weeks after Molly Matheson was found dead at the garage apartment she rented in the 2600 block of Waits Avenue.Kimbro remains in custody in the Mansfield jail, with bail set at $500,000.According to an arrest-warrant affidavit obtained by KXAS-TV (NBC5) that Kimbro was arrested in March 2014 after he was accused of sexually assaulting a woman at a South Padre Island resort. Those charges were dismissed.He was also accused of sexually assaulting a woman at her Plano home six months later, police said. Kimbro was not arrested in that case.Both victims knew Kimbro, and in both incidents the victim was choked, the affidavit says."The victim felt that she was going to die because Kimbro was choking her and covering her mouth and nose so she couldn't breathe," police wrote about the September 2014 case.  Continue reading...
