Man Accused of Shooting the Man Who Crashed Into His Friend's Car in Downtown Dallas

A 24-year-old man is accused of shooting the man who crashed into his friend's parked car Sunday in downtown Dallas. Anh Luu faces a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the shooting that left a man critically injured, police said. The victim, who has not been identified, crashed into a parked vehicle in the 400 block of N. Akard Street. The victim and the car's owner argued but exchanged contact information, and the man and his passenger left the area, police said. But the man and his passenger went back to where the crash occurred and got into another argument with the owner of the parked car, who was visiting friends. The owner's friends, including Luu, got involved in the fight. Luu shot the man who crashed into the parked car, officials said. Officers responded to the shooting around 6:48 p.m. The victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition with a gunshot wound to the torso. Luu remains in the Dallas County jail.
