Man Accused of Secretly Recording Women at Fort Worth Home Told Police He Thought His Wife Was Cheating

When Gabriel Cortez Batzin's wife found two little cameras hidden in the couple's Fort Worth home last year, she confronted Batzin about them. He told her that he wanted to monitor babysitters and young female relatives who may have been sneaking men into their rooms, according to a police affidavit recently obtained by the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. Batzin later told police that he installed the cameras because he thought his wife was cheating on him at the home, though he had no evidence.Batzin, who was arrested in early January, faces six counts of improper photography or visual recording, court records show. He remains at the Tarrant County jail under a combined $22,500 bail and an immigration hold.His attorney, Stacey Mooring, couldn't be immediately reached for comment.
